Sketch of the Day–Batman/Solomon Grundy

December 20, 2011

Already posted this on twitter. Taking some suggestions from @divaLea–darkened rock in front. Also, thinned out Grundy’s face a bit.
Drawn on a Cintiq with Photoshop.

Back at it!

November 3, 2011

Like so many of us who started blogs, I have let it fall to the wayside. I hope to be back on a semi-regular basis–time allowing.

In the meantime, I’ll post some of the illustrations that I’ve included on my twitter site ( you can follow me at @petergkrause).

Enjoy!

Sketch of the Day 10/19/07—-World of Warcraft

October 19, 2007

Back again.

I am one of the many hooked on World of Warcraft. I thought it might be fun to try to draw a couple of characters from the game.

Here is a preliminary sketch. It looks like this mage has been surprised by an orc.

The mage is probably out of mana. I’m betting on the orc in this fight!

Batman….sketch of the day, 10/4/07

October 4, 2007

Something new here. Used a PITT pen for most of this, trying to be a bit rough.

Then copied what Jorge Zaffino did in his “Batman: Black-and-White” story….just brushing in the bricks with no guidelines.

This suits me. What do you think?

I’m back…..Sketch of the Day, 10/3/07

October 3, 2007

Well, sorry about that.

Too much work, and there comes a time to step away from the drawing board.

Here’s a hope for more posting. This is a sketch from a still..the movie is The Fallen Sparrow (1943), with John Garfield.
